Dispute and Litigation Support

I provide independent engineering support to counsel and owners involved in construction, engineering, and facility disputes. This work focuses on establishing technical facts, assessing performance against contractual and professional obligations, and supporting resolution with defensible engineering judgment. Engagements support legal teams from early technical review through resolution and close-out and are led directly by me as Principal Engineer.

Independent Technical Review

Dispute support begins with an independent review of contract documents, technical records, and site conditions where required. The objective is to establish scope and obligations, determine what occurred, and identify technically supportable issues. This includes preparation of a consolidated issue list covering items in dispute and additional issues identified through engineering review, with commentary grounded in contractual intent, professional standards, and observed conditions.

Resolution Strategy and Remedial Planning

I support counsel by developing technically reasonable and achievable paths to resolve the issues. This includes assessment of potential outcomes, comparison of remedial or corrective options, and definition of work that could reasonably address the underlying technical deficiencies. The focus is on practical engineering solutions that support resolution.

Implementation and Close-Out Support

Where a technical resolution is agreed, I provide engineering support during implementation and close-out. This may include review of scopes, pricing, and technical proposals, technical input during execution as issues arise, and confirmation that agreed remedial work has been completed. The objective is clear technical closure aligned with the resolution framework and engineering requirements.
