Meet the Founder - Babar Mirza

Born in Montreal, Quebec, and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Babar has built a career at the intersection of engineering, construction, and finance. With an engineering degree from McMaster University and over 13 years of experience in complex facility management, he specializes in project execution, dispute resolution, and securing funding for businesses.

 

As a Licensed Professional Engineer, Babar has worked at United States Steel, Denso Manufacturing, and the CN Tower, managing high-stakes projects that demanded cost reduction, risk mitigation, and strategic problem-solving. Today, BM Consulting brings that expertise to owners, helping them navigate construction challenges, resolve disputes efficiently, and unlock financial opportunities.

 

Outside of work, Babar enjoys playing the piano, writing science fiction and fantasy novels, and practicing Jeet Kune Do.
