Babar mediates construction, building and new home warranty disputes, and provides owner-side engineering advisory to institutional clients and legal counsel.
His focus is standard of care, construction project management, and facilities. Every engagement carries the operator’s perspective from a career of building, managing, and being accountable for the outcomes, along with a particular strength for simplifying complicated technical information.
He has managed more than $1 billion in physical assets and over $250 million in project value. That work spans 14 years on the owner’s side of complex facilities, industrial systems and capital programs at United States Steel, Denso Manufacturing Canada and the CN Tower, where he served as Director of Facilities and Engineering.
In 2023, he founded BM Consulting to bring that operational and engineering experience directly to those who need independent judgement on complex files.
